Your privacy and data security are a priority at SouqView. We are committed to protecting your personal information.
SouqView is owned and operated by MASA 71 SPC LLC. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use and store it, who we share it with, and your rights under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). By using SouqView, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.
1. What we collect
- Name - optional, for personalization.
- Email address - required to create your account and send important updates.
- Country - to verify eligibility and jurisdiction.
- Payment details - handled by the app store and our payment processor. We never see or store your card details on our servers.
- Login times and session length.
- Which features and charts you use.
- Network data such as IP address, device type and OS, for security and performance.
2. How we use your data
We use your information to provide a secure, personalized experience:
- Manage your subscription and Pro features.
- Tailor insights and the interface to your level and interests.
- Monitor for fraud and keep your account secure.
- Improve the app and its tools.
- Communicate with you for support and important updates.
3. Service providers
Running SouqView takes a handful of specialist providers. We use them only to operate the app, they act on our instructions, and they may not use your data for their own purposes:
- Cloud infrastructure, database hosting and account authentication.
- Subscription management and payment processing.
- Transactional email delivery.
- AI providers that power the in-app assistant. Only your message and the stock symbols it refers to are sent, never your account details.
4. The AI assistant
When you use the in-app AI assistant:
- What is sent: your chat messages, referenced stock symbols and the analysis mode you choose.
- What is not sent: your email, name, payment details or other personal account data.
- How it is used: only to answer your query. We do not use your chats to train AI models.
- Consent: the app asks for your explicit consent before any data is sent to these services.
5. Data deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing founder@masa71.ae. We will process your request within 30 days.
6. Who at SouqView can see your practice portfolio
Section 7 is about companies. This one is about people, and it is shorter: three of them, in narrowing order.
SouqView's founder. Can open any account's practice portfolio and its simulated trade history, to answer a support question, investigate a fault, or produce a learning report. This is the account that runs the service.
A professor, for their own students only. If you entered a university code when you signed up, or joined a class, faculty at that university can see your progress and your practice performance figures. They cannot see your positions or your trade history. Every time one of them opens a named student, it is recorded in a log neither they nor SouqView staff can edit.
A consultant, only for a session you shared it with. When you book a consultation you may tick to show that consultant your practice portfolio. If you do not tick it, they see nothing. If you do, they see what you hold and what it is worth, never your simulated trade history and never your name beyond the booking. Access opens a day before the session and closes a day after it, whatever else happens, and you can stop it at any moment from My bookings. Every time they open it we record it, and you are shown that it happened.
None of these people see real money, because there is none: everything in a SouqView portfolio is simulated. And none of them can change anything in your account.
7. Email we send you
An email address you give us anywhere in the app, including the address you type when booking a consultation, may be used to send you SouqView's periodic market notes as well as the messages about the thing you actually did.
Every one of those notes carries an unsubscribe link, and one click stops them for good. Receipts do not: a booking confirmation, a meeting link or a session reminder is a record of something you did, and it keeps arriving as long as you have a session booked. If you were given a link by somebody who booked on your behalf and you would rather hear nothing further, the unsubscribe link works for you too.
8. Sharing your practice activity
We share your practice activity with third parties, and having a SouqView account means agreeing to that.
Those third parties are brokerages, market makers, exchanges and research firms, who receive the data through an API. We tell you this plainly because it is the one place where information about you leaves SouqView for someone else's benefit, and you should know that before you sign up rather than after.
- Your simulated trades: what, when, how much, and at what simulated price.
- The positions in your practice portfolio and how they change over time.
- Which symbols, sectors and markets you look at, and how long you spend doing it.
- A random identifier, so one anonymous account can be followed over time without being named.
- Your name, email address, phone number or country.
- Your IP address, device identifiers, or anything that could be used to contact you.
- Any real-money or banking information. SouqView holds none, since all trading in the app is simulated.
What recipients may not do. Every recipient is contractually barred from attempting to re-identify you, from selling the data onward, and from using it beyond the purpose we agreed. Where a recipient is outside the UAE, we transfer only under the conditions the PDPL allows for cross-border transfer, and the same limits apply wherever they are.
If you want it to stop. Deleting your account, as described above, ends all further sharing. Data already sent cannot be pulled back out of a recipient's systems, which is why the contractual limits carry the weight once it has gone.
9. Policy updates
We may update this policy to reflect changes in law (such as updates to the UAE PDPL) or our services. We will tell you about significant changes by email or in-app notice. Continuing to use SouqView after an update means you accept the revised policy.
