About SouqView
SouqView is a bilingual, gamified investing app that helps first-time investors in the UAE learn, practise with virtual money and build confidence across UAE and US markets. Short lessons, levels and friendly competitions keep people coming back. We are a small, AI-native team headquartered in the UAE, working with universities, banks and market institutions.
About the role
You will build SouqView: the mobile app, the platform behind it and the AI inside it. You write the code, ship it every week with AI coding tools like Claude Code, and keep it secure and reliable as partners join.
What you will do
- Build and ship features across the mobile app, the web and the backend, from idea to release.
- Write production code every day with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, moving fast with tests and reviews.
- Build what our partners need, from dashboards to integrations.
- Own releases to the App Store and Google Play, and fix what breaks.
- Keep the platform and its data secure, reliable and ready to scale.
What you will bring
- Code you wrote and shipped that people use: an app in the store, a live product or a public repository.
- Strong engineering fundamentals across mobile, web, APIs and databases.
- Daily, confident use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, and the judgement to review what they write.
- Product sense: you decide what is worth building and cut the rest.
- A solid grasp of how financial markets work, and strong financial literacy.
- Clear communication with non-technical partners.
- Your own UAE freelance visa or freelance licence.
Nice to have
Experience in fintech, education or regulated products. Arabic.
Compensation
A monthly stipend, commission and equity in SouqView, with the terms set out in your offer. We review the stipend when SouqView raises funding.
How we work
Remote-first for people living in the UAE, with on-site days in Abu Dhabi, Dubai or Al Ain when the work needs it. Every role works directly with the founder and gets the AI tools it needs from day one.
Hiring process
- 1. Apply: 15 to 20 minutes, with your CV, in English or Arabic
- 2. The simulation: 90 min, built from real situations
- 3. Practical task: Up to half a day, on a sample brief
- 4. Interview with the founder
